BIGSPD was formed in 2000 and is a focus for academic and professional networking in the field of personality disorder. The main event each year is a stimulating conference with international speakers presenting new research findings and clinical approaches to Personality Disorders. Previous meetings have been held in London, Leicester, Jersey, Dublin, Cardiff, Glasgow, Nottingham, Cambridge and Oxford. Click here

This year, for the first time, the annual conference will be held in Manchester. Home to over twenty Nobel Prize winners, Manchester is where the atom was first 'split' and where the first modern computer was built. The conference will take place in the four-star Palace Hotel with its distinctive Clock Tower, a feature of the Manchester skyline.
